Texas Music Revolt

Soooo the last few months Ive been silent, Im wandering if I would have support to kickstart this again, what do you say folks?

Alright folks as promised The Jobe Wilson Band interview is posted and a new humor column by The Jackalope Conspiracy is posted, Hukes workin some more vid stuff for you guys and I don’t know about ya’ll but I’m really digging those vids! Got a couple of folks in mind for the next couple of interviews anyone ya’ll would like to see in here just drop me a line or leave a comment … EL C

So here’s whats upcoming for June. Hukes working some more video stuff that I’m really appreciative of, and diggin as well. Me I’m working The Jobe Wilson Band interview wich should be pretty good! Jackalope Conspiracy is working some new pieces for the humor section! (love his wit). Working on hopefully getting some sponsorships and, or advertisers, but as we know I need more substance to the mag, and more hits, comments etc … got some stickers on the way, they will be 3×3 vinyl, so you can stick’em anywhere! I will post them when I have them, they will run about 3 bucks, not too bad for a 3×3 vinyl! Anyways that’s whats coming up for June, hope you have enjoyed so far! … El C

My Memorial Day ….

My Memorial Day will be spent with memories of those Brothers that I lost in the conflict under the beguiled name of freedom. I learned something from each and every Brother lost, they touched my life and affected me in some way or another on a personal level. I will save the dramatics of listing all I knew lost in the wars. Every day something reminds me of one of the Brothers I lost, every night I reminisce in my dreams of those lost hearing their voices, seeing their faces etc etc.

This Memorial Day please do me a favor. Look at your family, look at your Brother your Sister, Uncle, Cousin, Husband, Wife etc, and ask yourself could I make that sacrifice? Could I let them walk out the door for the last time not knowing if they would walk back through? Please at some moment tomorrow look to the horizon, the sky or what ever gives you that deep breath of peace, and think about those gone, think of those 6,013 families who will not be celebrating Memorial Day but, spending their day at a gravesite or staring at pictures of loved ones gone.

To all my Brothers and Sisters who have been taken from us, injured, or still serving, I love you all, you will always be my Family. To those taken from us I promise your memory will never die. See all my Cavalry brothers in Fiddlers Green, hold it down and have my drink ready when I get there!

Man … finally retired and right back to work, I’m excited to see this thing starting to take some kind of shape! With the help of Huke this thing is going to be cool as hell. I’ve been preaching about how the Revolt is coming for a year now, and now its time to put up or shut up. I hope ya’ll enjoy the questions asked and the answers received, it can only get better with the more experience I pick up. I’m new to all this “press” world so please be patient. Also, adding a humor page by The Jackalope Conspiracy, he’s a pretty witty guy! It’s only humor so don’t take offense to his style!

It can also only get better with the support of you the people, the idea behind this whole thing is for you the people to hear music that you might not normally hear of. A oppurtunity to ask the artist questions about them, their music or their life, it’s an uncensored forum, ask what you want. No I wont be promoting or interviewing Randy Rogers or Stoney LaRue etc…, those guys don’t need exposure, they have it. I want to expose to you the bands that are kicking ass every weekend at tiny venues, or opening for larger bands and not getting recognition because, people don’t show up to concerts till the main act is about to go on. I can be harsh sometimes, but if something gets under my skin, I will get on my soapbox and say what I feel about the situation. My vision of this is for it to be helpful, informative, and not your normal rag that talks about the same BS every month.
